Abstract

The case report discusses a young male who presented on 14th June’2024, to the emergency department of Shifa International Hospital, Islamabad with epigastric pain. He was subsequently diagnosed as ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) and moved to the catheterisation lab for urgent coronary angiography and coronary reperfusion. This case highlights the fact that underestimation of possible coronary artery disease (CAD) in young patients can lead to significant morbidity and mortality if not diagnosed and treated timely.

Key Words: STEMI, myocardial infarction, coronary artery disease, teenager, coronary vasospasm.
