Two active flavonoids, diosmin andhesperidin, are used as venotonic and vasculoprotectiveagents in clinical practice. They are indicated for themanagement of varicose veins, chronic venousinsufficiency and haemorrhoids. They help improvecirculatory tone, reduce inflammation, strengthen venouswalls, and alleviate symptoms such as discomfort, pain andswelling.
